Dragonfly

The Rio Grande Nature Center had its Summer Wings Festival today. A speaker took us to a generally off-limits pond... where I was too busy trying to take photos to hear what the name of this dragonfly was.

A painted lady butterfly rests on goldenrod. I happened upon her on the Sandia Mountains' Tree Spring Trail a few days ago.
