Terms-of-Use FAQs

I would like to use your photos for professional and/or business and/or commercial purposes. How do I go about doing that?

You may not use our photos for other than your own personal enjoyment without paying a fee and receiving explicit permission from us. If you'd still like to use one of our photos, please contact us, letting us know which photo(s) you'd like to use, how often you'd like to use it/them, and what your publication medium is (i.e., Web, print, etc.). [back]

I'm a student (or teacher). May I use your photos for my school project?

Even if you're a student or teacher, you may not use our photos for other than your own personal enjoyment without paying a fee and receiving explicit permission from us. If you'd still like to use one of our photos, please contact us, letting us know which photo(s) you'd like to use, how often you'd like to use it/them, and what your publication medium is (i.e., Web, print, etc.). We'll also need to know the name of your school, your grade level, and the project for which you'd like to use our photo(s). [back]

I work for a non-profit. Will you support our non-profit by allowing us to use your photos without charge?

You may not use our photos for other than your own personal enjoyment without paying a fee and receiving explicit permission from us. If you'd still like to use one of our photos, please contact us, letting us know which photo(s) you'd like to use, how often you'd like to use it/them, and what your publication medium is (i.e., Web, print, etc.). It would also be helpful to know the name of your organization, the project for which you'd like to use our photo(s), and we'd like to see your mission statement (hopefully on the Web). [back]

How can I get in touch with you folks?

You may contact us with questions, comments, and suggestions. While we appreciate hearing from you, please be aware that it's very unlikely we'll be able to respond personally. (Because email is a notoriously insecure form of communication, please do not include charge card numbers in your message.) [back]

Please see our Membership Terms of Use for more information about these topics.
